Rangers signed RHP Shane Greene to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 35-year-old Greene, who went to an All-Star Game as the Tigers’ closer in 2019, has struggled to stay in the majors the last three years. Last season, he pitched twice for the Cubs in September, throwing three scoreless innings. He had a 1.84 ERA in 29 1/3 innings in Triple-A.
