Garnacho to Aston Villa, Akliouche to Liverpool: Latest Premier League transfer rumors, news

Is Unai Emery the one to unlock the immense talents of immature Chelsea forward Alejandro Garnaco?

Aston Villa have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine, who may have worn out his welcome at Chelsea after doing the same at Manchester United.

MORE — Will Messi win the Ballon d’Or?

Garnacho, who turned 22 this summer, was not a part of Argentina’s World Cup squad and may well be on the move to a third Premier League home.

The move is one of the highest-profile rumors and reports coming through the Premier League transfer gossip mill on Wednesday.

Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa on loan with buy option?

Sky Sports say Villa have agreed a deal to sign Garnacho from Chelsea.

The report says it’s a loan deal a conditional obligation to buy “which is easily achievable.”

Villa fans with even a short memory will remember that the conditions didn’t work so well with Harvey Elliott last season, but will also note that Jadon Sancho eventually became a notable part of a memorable season.

Reports had Chelsea wanting to profit on the reported $54 million they paid Manchester United for the player last summer.

Garnacho played 43 times for Chelsea and dialed up eight goals and four assists. The goals were on par with his Man United production but the assists were well below his the level. Just one of his Chelsea goals and just four assists came in the Premier League, as he did most of his damage in the FA Cup and League Cup.

You’d have to think Chelsea would be thrilled to get their money back against the risk/reward of eight-times capped Argentine “figuring it out.”

Auxerre’s Kevin Danois linked with Newcastle, Bournemouth, more

It’ll take around $28.5 million to land Auxerre’s Kevin Danois, but could that price rise as three Premier League sides and a Championship big name are reportedly in for the center midfielder.

Danois, 22, has a contract through the end of the 2028-29 season and several reports are linking him with a move away from Auxerre.

He has three goals and an assist in 55 career Ligue 1 appearances, and the underlying numbers show most of what Auxerre did went through him with 1,515 open play passes accounting for 400 more than any other teammate.

Danois also led Auxerre in tackles, interceptions, and possessions won.

Report: Liverpool express intent to sign Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche

A price tag a bit under Garnacho’s is said to be on AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, and Liverpool are said to be hot on his trail.

Akliouche, 24, has played mostly right wing for the Ligue 1 outfit while also spending some time in a central playmaking position.

The 10-times capped Frenchman has also drawn interest from PSG, according to Sky Sports, and played seven minutes at the World Cup.

Akliouche is coming off an excellent season in which he dialed up seven goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances for Monaco.

Liverpool have Cody Gakpo, Alexander Isak, Rio Ngumoha, and Victor Munoz among their wide attackers, though Akliouche’s preference for the right side is surely a positive as they bid to replace Mohamed Salah.
