Liverpool drew Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield in the tastiest tie of the round, while Sunderland will host Hull City, Coventry City welcome Aston Villa to town, and Arsenal will head to Ipswich Town in all-Premier League ties.
Chelsea will face Leeds if they beat Luton Town.
The third round of the League Cup will be staged across two weeks due to potential conflicts with European tournaments, taking place across the weeks of September 7 and 14.
