The excitement of the MLS playoffs officially got underway when FC Dallas defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night to advance past the knockout round, while tonight, the New York Red Bulls eliminated Sporting Kansas City, the reigning MLS Cup champions, in a thrilling game at Red Bull Arena.
