What a way to introduce yourself to Everton, Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 29-year-old had just joined the Toffees this week and subbed into the game for the final throes as Everton looked for its second equalizer of Sunday’s Week 3 match versus Manchester United.
He sure did that, lashing a Goal of the Season contender from outside the box in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

“It’s amazing,” Maitland-Niles said after the game. “Everyone wants to start off like that and thankfully I did. The ball fell for me at the edge of the box, I put my foot through it and saw it go top corner.”
“Felt like a win. We dug deep and managed to get a point at the end. The crowd was robust and fougth with us til the end.”
