Braves acquired LHP Thomas Burrows from the Mariners in the Mallex Smith deal.
Burrows, a fourth-round pick in last year’s draft, put up a 2.55 ERA and 37/11 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings of relief with Low-A Everett in 2016. The 22-year-old held left-handed batters to a .111/.226/.111 batting line. He could be major-league ready soon.
