Nic Claxton (hand) and Noah Clowney (ankle) are out for Sunday’s game against the Raptors.
The Nets will finish the season without their starting frontcourt, as Clowney and Claxton remain out. E.J. Liddell and Trevon Scott started Friday’s loss to the Bucks and should do the same on Sunday, with the latter logging 41 minutes.
  • BKN Center #33
Nic Claxton (hand) will miss Thursday’s game against the Pacers.
Thursday will mark the third consecutive missed game for Claxton, who did not play in either of Brooklyn’s recent wins over Milwaukee and Washington. In his absence, rookie Trevon Scott could potentially make his second career start as the regular season nears its conclusion.
  • BKN Guard #77
Ben Saraf, Drake Powell, Malachi Smith, E.J. Liddell and Trevon Scott will start Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.
Powell and Liddell are the holdovers from the lineup that started Sunday’s win over the Wizards. Saraf, Smith and Scott replace Nolan Traoré, Jalen Wilson and Chaney Johnson. Saraf and Powell may be the “safest” options for those in active fantasy leagues, as they were first-round picks last summer, and their development is critical for the Nets.
  • BKN Forward #1
Ziaire Williams (foot) has been ruled out against the Bucks on Tuesday.
Williams will miss a second straight game with this foot injury. Malachi Smith and Trevon Scott should continue to play extended minutes off the bench with Williams unavailable. Both played over 20 minutes on Sunday, though neither was productive.
  • BKN Forward #1
Ziaire Williams (foot) is out for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.
Williams is out after playing 21 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Hawks. His absence frees up minutes among the Nets’ reserves, including Malachi Smith and Trevon Scott. Smith offers higher upside, but both players are risky streaming options.
  • BKN Forward #13
The Cleveland Cavaliers are signing Tre Scott to a 10-day contract, the team announced.
Scott is averaging 14.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 34.4 minutes per game for the Cleveland Charge this season. He will likely get a few spot minutes for the Cavaliers, but he is not a fantasy target.

  • BKN Forward #13
The Cavaliers have signed Tre Scott to a non-guaranteed training camp deal according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Scott played his college ball at Cincinnati where he was an All-AAC performer and the Defensive Player of the Year as well as the Most Improved Player as a senior. Scott then spent some time in Puerto Rico before signing a training camp deal with the Jazz last off-season and ultimately playing for the Salt Lake City Silver Stars, The Jazz’ G-League affiliate. Scott will attempt to make the Cavs’ opening day roster, but will likely end up in the G-League this season as well.

  • UTA Center #17
The Jazz have waived Romaro Gill, Trevon Bluiett, Tre Scott and Jake Toolson.
All these guys were training camp invites who were never expected to make the regular-season roster.
