So'oto

A second cousin of Junior Seau, So’oto played in seven games with the Packers last season as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He’s now healthy after reaching an injury settlement with Green Bay two weeks ago. Ihenacho had played just 18 snaps through three games.

Erik Walden continues to start, but he hasn’t finished the past two games, giving way to Frank Zombo and Vic So’oto. The Packers figure to use a rotation in the playoffs, searching for the combo that will provide the best pass-rushing spark.

So’oto suffered the injury in Thursday’s preseason finale. An undrafted free agent out of BYU last season, So’oto appeared in seven games in 2011.

So’oto played in seven games with the Packers in 2011 as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was placed on injured reserve on August 31.

So’oto takes Jordan Black’s spot on the active roster. He’ll act as depth and special teams support with Lorenzo Alexander nursing a shoulder injury.

So’oto has appeared in 12 career games, with five coming between the Packers and Raiders last season. He’s just a body for a team that lost Sam Acho and Lorenzo Alexander in Week 3.

So’oto appeared in one game for the Cardinals this season after appearing in five between the Packers and Raiders in 2012. He’ll fight for a spot on special teams, but is unlikely to crack the Steelers’ 53-man roster.

So’oto was placed on injured reserve in Week 4 with a chest injury. He’s now an unrestricted free agent.

An undrafted free agent out of BYU, So’oto’s back “flared up” at practice on Tuesday. So’oto made the team thanks to a monster preseason, tallying nine tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception return for a touchdown. The bulk of his contributions should come on special teams this season.
