Former NBA point guard Yogi Ferrell has reportedly agreed to a deal with Panathinaikos Athens.
The 28-year-old guard was unlikely to find more than a training-camp invite in the NBA this season, but he should find a robust role in Greece for the six-time EuroLeague champions.

The Clippers have waived guard Yogi Ferrell, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
At best, Yogi was the third-string point guard on the Clippers, so this won’t impact the team a whole lot. Reggie Jackson and Eric Bledsoe will be the main men running the point for L.A.

  • NBA Point Guard #5
The Clippers have signed Yogi Ferrell for the remainder of the season.
Ferrell’s contract includes the 2021-22 season, but that portion of the deal is not guaranteed. The only way Ferrell gets onto the court at this point is if the Clippers are hit extremely hard by injuries in the backcourt.

Yogi Ferrell was a DNP-CD vs. Houston on Friday.
Ferrell played 20 minutes in his debut for the Clippers on Friday, having recently inked a 10-day contract. He only saw minutes due to the absence of Patrick Beverley (hand), Rajon Rondo (wrist) and Reggie Jackson (rest), and with R-Jax back in action there was no room for Yogi.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo (right wrist) will not suit up for Friday’s game vs. the Rockets.
With Rondo out of the commission, it’ll be Yogi Ferrell and Terance Mann backing up Reggie Jackson at the point tonight. For now, we’ll be considering Rondo questionable for Monday’s game in New Orleans.

Yogi Ferrell has officially signed his 10-day contract with the Clippers.
He’ll bring some added depth to the point guard position in Los Angeles for the next 10 days, but we don’t anticipate him to have any fantasy value.

  • NBA Point Guard #5
Yogi Ferrell plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Clippers once he clears health and safety protocols, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Due to the protocols, Ferrell isn’t expected to officially sign with the Clippers until later this week. He’ll give the Clippers another option at the point, as Patrick Beverley (hand) is out and Rajon Rondo is still working his way back from a groin injury. There’s no need to make plans to pick up Ferrell once he officially becomes a Clipper.

  • FA Center #27
The Cavaliers have waived Thon Maker and Yogi Ferrell.
This was to make room for Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince. Maker only averaged 9.5 minutes for the Cavaliers and will struggle to find a rotation spot elsewhere.

Yogi Ferrell made his debut for the Cavs on Tuesday, netting 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and two triples in 24 minutes.
The Cavs were playing without Collin Sexton, Darius Garland and Andre Drummond on Tuesday, hence why they got blown out by the Jazz 117-87. They brought in Ferrell because their back court is so banged up and he had a decent game, making 4-of-12 shots and committing zero turnovers in 24 minutes. He’s only on 10-day contract, but if Garland is out for another week or two and Ferrell plays well, there’s a chance he could get another 10-day deal. Sexton could likely return in the Cavs next game which isn’t until Friday.

The Cavaliers are using their hardship exception to sign Yogi Ferrell to a 10-day contract.
Assuming he passes the COVID-19 protocols, Ferrell is expected to be cleared in time for Monday’s game. The Cavaliers are very short on players right now, so Ferrell should be in the rotation. He has career averages of 7.8 points, 2.3 dimes, 2.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 1.1 triples in 20 minutes, so there’s not a lot of upside here.
