Falcons selected Georgia DT Zion Logue with the No. 197 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
A former four-star DE and the 11th-ranked player from Tennessee in the 2019 recruiting class, Logue (6'6/314) is a difficult evaluation due to his limited exposure. On paper, his 82nd percentile RAS and pro-ready frame suggest the potential to stick on a roster as a rotational one tech. However, his counting stats total a mere 52 tackles over the course of five years, though two were essentially lost seasons to redshirt and pandemic. Logue doesn’t seem to have much of a plan when rushing the passer. With a quick first step, he closes the distance with the blocker with ease and engages his large frame to close the gap even when blocked. But when the play moves away from his gap, he has little recourse in disengaging with the blocker. His film doesn’t portray an overly eager player, though his well-coached fundamentals allow him to utilize his slightly above-average speed and explosion to disrupt the play.
  • BUF Defensive Tackle #93
Georgia received a verbal commitment from three-star 2019 DL Zion Loeague.
Logue has offers from several of the major players; including Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Louisville. At 6-foot-5, 287-pounds, Logue has the length and athleticism you’re looking for in a defensive end who can rush the pass and also help in the run game. He ranks 21st among players located in Tennessee in the 247 Composite rankings, and 42nd among strong-side defensive ends.
