Jauan Jennings also missed the first practice of the week. Pearsall is still dealing with the PCL injury that popped up early in the season and finally forced him to miss time in Week 5. It looks like he will also miss Week 6 because of the knee issue. Assuming neither Pearsall nor Jennings can suit up, Kendrick Bourne will once again operate as the team’s top wideout. Bourne saw 11 targets last week and will be a WR2/3 if he is the last man standing on the depth chart by Sunday.

Purdy is reportedly considered week-to-week after re-aggravating his toe injury in Week 4. A DNP today already puts him on the wrong side of questionable. Mac Jones is also banged up but managed a limited practice. Barring a setback, Jones should be expected to start for the 49ers in Week 6 against Tampa Bay.

The Steelers infamously declared Warren inactive on the morning of their Dublin, Ireland game in Week 4 against the Vikings, setting up West Coast fantasy managers for goose eggs in their RB2 spot. The Steelers’ Week 5 bye appears to have helped Warren put the knee ailment behind him, though his backup, RB Kenneth Gainwell, could take on a decently sized workload in Week 6, after totaling 134 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in Warren’s stead. Last week, ESPN’s Dan Graziano did list Warren ahead of Gainwell when discussing the backfield’s current state, so Warren should still have access to a fantasy-friendly role this week, even if Gainwell’s touch count does increase. Treat Warren as an RB3/FLEX with upside.

This is the first appearance on the injury report for St. Brown. The Lions do a good job of resting their veterans throughout the week, so fantasy managers shouldn’t panic just yet. It is, however, a situation to monitor throughout the week. Jameson Williams could finally see more work on underneath routes if St. Brown were to miss Week 6. Sam LaPorta would also be asked to step up in a potential shootout with Kansas City. We will get more info when the Lions release their practice report of the week on Thursday.

This was always the expectation, but it’s still good to see Barkley get in a full practice and be cleared from the injury report entirely. His injury was described as “general soreness’ by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport earlier this week. We don’t expect it to limit him in any capacity versus the Giants. Barkley is off to a slow start this year, but a date with the lowly G-Men should give him a chance to rack up touches and chunk plays. He remains an RB1 for Week 6.

When asked if Murray would resume practicing later this week, Gannon simply said, “we’ll see.” Fantasy managers should treat Murray as being truly questionable to play in Week 6 against the Colts. If active, it stands to reason that the dual-threat quarterback’s rushing ability would be compromised. He can only be viewed as a QB2 this week.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jackson is reportedly facing “an uphill battle” to play in Week 6. A DNP on Wednesday confirms that report and all but rules Jackson out for Sunday’s game. Barring a surprise, Cooper Rush should make his second start as a Raven, though Tyler Huntley is also an option for the team. Rush imploded in his first start, throwing for 179 yards and three interceptions in a blowout loss to the Texans. We don’t have high hopes for the offense no matter who draws the start versus the Rams.

Quinn told reporters on Monday that he was optimistic about McLaurin playing in Week 6. While there is still a chance the veteran wideout returns to practice later this week and suits up on Sunday, that doesn’t look likely at this point. Barring a surprise, Deebo Samuel will continue to operate as the team’s top wideout. Samuel has 14 receptions for 168 yards and two scores over the past two weeks. He is working his way up the WR2 ranks heading into his Week 6 date with the Bears.

The Bengals pulled the plug on Jake Browning after three disastrous starts. They traded for Flacco earlier this week and the journeyman will make his debut on the road against a stout Green Bay defense. It’s a tough spot for a quarterback who just joined the team, but Flacco is no stranger to spot-starts. Flacco is only a low-end QB2 for his first game as a Bengal, but his addition should boost the floors of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Both receivers were struggling to put up usable fantasy scores under Browning until they padded their box scores in garbage time last week. Flacco will look to get them going before the fourth quarter in Week 6.
