Tigers re-signed RHP A.J. Ladwig to a minor league contract.
Ladwig has spent the last eight years in the Tigers’ minor-league system since being drafted in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB Draft. The 29-year-old righty recorded a pedestrian 4.65 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 87/18 K/BB ratio across 108 1/3 innings (24 appearances, 21 starts) between Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo last season. He’ll bolster the Tigers’ organizational starting pitching depth this upcoming season.
