Rays released RHP Adrian De Horta.
De Horta signed a minor league contract with the Rays back in February and has yet to reach the majors. The 27-year-old righty allowed 14 runs on 16 hits with a 15/13 K/BB ratio across 14 1/3 innings (11 appearances, two starts) this season at Triple-A Durham.

Rays optioned LHP Brendan McKay, INF Jonathan Aranda, RHP Calvin Faucher, and C’s René Pinto and Ford Proctor to Triple-A Durham; reassigned LHP Zack Erwin and RHP’s Adrian De Horta, David Hess, David McKay and Aaron Slegers to minor league camp.
The first cuts from Rays’ spring training trim their big-league camp roster to 42 players. McKay, who is recovering from thoracic outlet syndrome surgery, is the most notable of the inclusions. Hess and Slegers are the most likely relievers to make an impact this season in Tampa Bay.

Rays signed RHP Adrian De Horta to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
De Horta was part of the Angels’ player pool for the condensed 2020 campaign but did not appear in a game at the MLB level. He posted an uninspiring 5.33 ERA across 52 1/3 minor league innings in 2019.

Angels added RHP Adrian De Horta to their player pool.
De Horta was an eighth round pick in 2013 who spent last year pitching at three different levels; registering a 5.33 ERA over 18 appearances with eight starts. He’ll be added depth for the Angels of the truncated season.
