The Jazz have acquired the draft rights to Balsa Koprivica as part of the Russell Westbrook sign-and-trade, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Koprivica’s draft rights have been traded multiple times since the Pistons selected him with the No. 57 pick in 2021. The Clippers also sent $4.3 million and a second round pick swap in 2023 to facilitate the Westbrook trade.

According to Law Murray of The Athletic, the Clippers have acquired the draft rights to Balsa Koprivica in exchange for cash considerations.

Koprivica, the 57th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has yet to appear in an NBA game, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon. In exchange for Koprivica’s draft rights, the Pistons received $2.1 million.

Detroit’s Balsa Koprivica has signed a 3-year deal with KK Partizan in Serbia.

The Pistons already have 16 guaranteed contracts and both of their two-way slots are filled, so there was no room for the 57th overall pick.

With the No. 57 pick in Thursday night’s NBA draft, the Pistons selected Balsa Koprivica out of Florida State.

Koprivica averaged 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 1.4 blocks in just 19.5 minutes per game at Florida State. At 7-foot-1 Kopriva will serve as a rim protector in the NBA, he has yet to attempt a three-pointer in his career, so he likely will not be a threat in that department, or at least not early on.
