Betts & Webb to Battle Tonight: Dueling Parlays

Mookie Betts

Mookie Betts

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Fantasy football guru Matthew Berry has joined the team and his two shows have you covered all season long. Spend weekdays at noon with the Fantasy Football Happy Hour and then, every Sunday at 11am getting ready for kickoff with the Fantasy Football Pregame. Watch both shows live on Peacock and catch replays for the weekday show on the NFL on NBC YouTube channel.

There are only a handful of games remaining in baseball’s regular season. Most of the attention is on one of three happenings: Aaron Judge‘s pursuit of 62 (at least), the National League East title chase between the Braves and Mets, and the Brewers’ pursuit of Philadelphia and the final wild card spot in the National League.

That said, every game offers opportunities for bettors. The challenge is to find value.

Two West Coast games have the attention of the NBC Sports EDGE MLB Analysts. Juan Soto and the Padres are hosting Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers in San Diego and C.J. Cron and the Rockies are in San Francisco to take on Thairo Estrada and the Giants.

The analysts have done a deep dive into the odds markets for these two MLB games. They have found two plays from each game. They are going head-to-head in a duel of sorts to see which game can produce a bigger payday.

The EDGE team of MLB analysts have paired up as follows: John Venezia (@_JohnnyVTV) and Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) have joined for Parlay #1 and Drew Silva (@drewsilv) and DJ Short (@djshort) have combined efforts for Parlay #2.

As mentioned, enjoy the plays individually or as parlays…with a boost courtesy of PointsBet.

Parlay #1: Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres

LA Dodgers RL -1.5 (-125) @ San Diego Padres

and

Mookie Betts OVER 0.5 hits (-205) @ San Diego Padres

Parlay Boosted from +200 to +235 courtesy of PointsBet.

John Venezia (@_JohnnyVTV) and Vaughn Dalzell (VmoneySports):

I mean how often do you ever get the LA Dodgers at +150 on the RL? Tyler Anderson is fully cloaked in Dodger Blue this season and is enjoying a career year, not unlike most other average at-best hurlers have in the past. Since the start of July, the Dodgers have won 11 of his 14 outings, winning by at least two runs in nine of those eleven.

On the season, Mookie is hitting .315 versus LHP and with Blake Snell on the mound, Betts is likely to get one-plus hit.

Snell’s O/U on strikeouts is 7.5 juiced -160 to the Under and the Dodgers have won three of the last four with 13 runs scored.

With Betts batting near the top of the lineup and a career .242 batting average versus Snell, Betts should have more than enough chances for a hit versus the Padres.

Parlay #2: Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants

Colorado and San Francisco TOTAL Runs Scored UNDER 7.0 (+100)

and

Logan Webb OVER 4.5 Ks (+110) vs. San Francisco Giants

Parlay Boosted from +225 to +275 courtesy of PointsBet.

Drew Silva (@drewsilv) and DJ Short (@djshort):

I am jumping all over this matchup of bad offenses. Of course, the Rockies are a completely different animal on the road this season (MLB worst .621 OPS) and the same goes for Colorado starter Germán Márquez, who has a .209 BA against on the road compared to a .317 BA against at Coors Field. I expect him to hold the Giants lineup in check while Logan Webb (2.18 ERA over last eight starts) does the same to the Rockies.

The out-of-contention Giants have made it known that they want to limit Logan Webb‘s workload over what little remains of their 2022 schedule, but the 25-year-old right-hander still got to five strikeouts in just 5 1/3 innings (66 pitches) last Wednesday at Coors Field. In a rematch with this Rockies offense that has badly struggled on the road, Webb can get the job done in the K department even if his leash is tight on Tuesday night at Oracle Park.

Again, play these individually or as parlays with a Boost from PointsBet.

Enjoy the night in baseball and enjoy the Late Sweat Duel.
