Chris Miles and Jay Money discuss the second round series of the NBA Playoffs.
We are down to 8 teams remaining in the NBA Playoffs and Chris Miles and Jay Money join Bet the Edge to break it all down. The two series to get going tonight are the 76ers at the Heat (-7.5) and the Mavericks at the Suns (-5.5). Both Chris and Jay are riding with the Heat to win this series (-375) expecting the Embiid injury to be too much to overcome for Philly. In the other series that begins tonight, the guys are split on who they like in Game 1 and in the series. Jay is backing the Mavs (+5.5) on the road and believes they can pull the upset in the series as well (+240). Meanwhile, Chris is siding with Phoenix (-300), liking the matchup Devin Booker has against the Dallas defense in this series.
The group then dives into the series that are already taking place, Bucks-Celtics and Warriors-Grizzlies. Both road teams went on the road yesterday and took Game 1, but both Chris and Jay like each home team to rebound in Game 2. They are betting Boston (-191) and Memphis (+110) to tie up their series with a win Tuesday night. As for series prices, the guys both agree the Warriors (-556) will beat the Grizzlies and advance to the Western Conference Finals, however they are split on who will win the Celtics-Bucks series. Jay still trusts Boston (+115), and believes they will bounce back and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals after dropping Game 1, but Chris is backing the Bucks (-135), loving how the defending champions have looked thus far in the playoffs. Corey and Vaughn then pivot the discussion to Finals MVP value wagers. Corey likes the price of Luka Doncic at (+2200) while Jay is taking Chris Paul (+1000), Chris is backing Giannis (+500), and Vaughn is riding with Jimmy Butler (+800).
Corey and Vaughn wrap up today’s episode with their Edge of the Day plays. Vaughn is taking Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery to go under 4.5 strikeouts against the Blue Jays and Corey is riding with the Mavericks (+5.5) at the Suns.
