Another 3-game playoff slate tonight in the NBA, Nick Kostos drops by to break down the games and talk about the NFL Draft and Brad Thomas shares some golfer pairings he likes this weekend at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
After an awful shooting performance in Game 1 the Hawks look to bounce back on the road against the Heat. Nick leans towards taking the Hawks (+7.5) Wednesday, but is much more confident in backing the Timberwolves (+7) tonight on the road against the Grizzlies. In the final game of the night Nick doesn’t have a side he is playing in the Pelicans-Suns game, but he does love the under (221.5), stating when Phoenix wants to turn it on defensively they are extremely difficult to score on. Nick also gives out some bets he likes in the top 10 of the NFL Draft this year, explaining why he sees value in the Jags taking an offensive lineman with the first pick and why he thinks LSU product Derek Stingley will be drafted in the top 10 (-125).
Brad Thomas also joins Bet the Edge to talk about the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. This PGA Tour event is different then the normal one because the golfers are paired up this week. With that in mind, Brad is backing Sam Burns/ Billy Horschel (+1100). Burns played his college golf at LSU and Billy Horschel has won this event two times. Another pairing Brad has his eye on is Talor Gooch/ Max Homa (+2200). Brad emphasizes the course this week is a Pete Dye design and ball striking will be crucial. Gooch and Homa are both excellent ball strikers and motivated to win this event. He also sees value in Greyson Sigg/ Sepp Straka as a longshot (+5000).
Sara and Drew wrap up today’s episode with their Edge of the Day plays. Drew likes the Hawks to stay within the number against the Heat (+7.5) and Sara is playing Bam Adebayo to score over (18.5) points.
