Futures Friday: Eagles +175 to win NFC East

It’s amazing how these NFL divisional prices change on a week-to-week basis.

We’ve spent a lot of time this week discussing the market overreactions to Week 1. Every team has a price and those prices fluctuate a lot over the course of an NFL season. Three teams in the NFC East lost in Week 1, which led to an interesting adjustment in the future markets at PointsBet Sportsbook.

The Philadelphia Eagles ballooned from +130 to +175 to win the division after a 27-17 loss to the Washington Football Team. Granted, they gave up eight sacks and blew a 17-0 lead, but they’re still extremely capable of winning the division. Especially when they get healthy. [[ad:athena]]

Carson Wentz will get two much needed additions to the offense this weekend with Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson and running back Miles Sanders expected to make their season debuts. And eventually, receiver Alshon Jeffery will rejoin the fold when he’s done rehabbing his foot injury.

The Dallas Cowboys are the favorite right now at -115, then the Eagles +175, Football Team +750 and Giants +1200. Obviously, the Giants aren’t winning the division and 23-year-old Dwayne Haskins is going to go through plenty of ups and downs in his first full season as Washington’s starting quarterback.

I believe Philly has the best offensive and defensive lines in the division. Get to the quarterback and protect the quarterback. With time to throw, Wentz has so many options through the air. Zach Ertz is one of the best tight ends in the game and their receiving core of Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, Greg Ward and Jalen Reagor is very good. It’s just a matter of time before everything starts to click.

I’ll buy low on Philadelphia at a near 2-to-1 price right now. If they win this weekend and the Cowboys lose again, you’ll definitely see a new favorite on Monday.

Play on the Eagles +175 to win the NFC East.
