Nearly two weeks into the hype surrounding Super Bowl LVII, it is time to seek proper counsel when it comes to combing through the myriad of options in the prop market. NBC Sports gathered a quartet of NFL and betting experts and held a 3-round Super Bowl Prop Bet Draft.
Jay Croucher (@croucherJD), Mike Florio (@ProFootballTalk), Chris Simms (@CSimmsQB), and Matthew Berry (@MatthewBerryTMR) took turns making picks and discussing which Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles would exceed expectations or fail to meet the moment.
Running Backs the Play in Round 1
Croucher selected Kenneth Gainwell OVER 19.5 rushing yards:
“He’s been their closer, their change of pace guy. Think he gets at least 20 yards in the Super Bowl on the ground.”
Matthew Berry followed with Isiah Pacheco OVER 11.5 rushing attempts.
Eagles’ wideout A.J. Brown caught the attention of Chris Simms who believes the veteran will eclipse 100 receiving yards.
“…The threat of the (Eagles’) run game…they’re going to have to have some one-on-one opportunities.”
Berry supported the play: “I feel like if there is a weakness in that (Chiefs’) defense it’s the secondary.”
Round 1 came to a close with Mike Florio jumping on the Pacheco bandwagon. The PFT host likes the Chiefs’ rookie to run for OVER 48.5 yards.

Pass Catchers Rule Round 2
Jay Croucher led off Round 2 touting Eagles’ signal caller Jalen Hurts to throw at least one interception.
Matthew Berry followed with a play on the Kansas City place kicker: “I like kicker props. They’re not sexy. All they do is make you money. Give me Harrison Butker over one and a half field goals.”
He went big in Round 1 and swung for the fences again in Round 2. Expecting a 5-man rush and some room amongst the linebackers, Chris Simms selected Travis Kelce to catch 10+ passes from Patrick Mahomes.
Mike Florio closed the 2nd Round taking a stab at the player to receive the first pass of the game: “Jalen Hurts with a quick 8-12 yard throw to Dallas Goedert just to get things moving.”
Hurts and Mahomes Are the Focus in Round 3
Croucher started the final round of the draft taking Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes to rush for Over 19.5 yards.
Berry went to the opposing quarterback to rush for less than 16 yards for his final pick: “I think the Chiefs will make a point to stop him and by the way, I think Jalen Hurts is more hurt than people think.”
Chris Simms loved Croucher’s pick and decided to swipe it: “I think the ankle’s in a better state than people realize…He’s one of the best scrambling quarterbacks we’ve ever seen in the history of football.”
Florio rounded out the draft taking a Kansas City rookie to get the first sack of the game: “They’re gonna be worried about Chris Jones. They’re gonna be worried about Frank Clark. Maybe there’s a gap there. There’s a hole there. There’s a way that George Karlaftis can get to Jalen Hurts.”
