Sunday Prop Shop: Week 10

Kirk Cousins

Kirk Cousins

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Sunday Prop Shop.

Every weekend, we’ll dive inside the thousands of NFL props from our friends over at PointsBet Sportsbook. Please scale back your bet size on props, because a lot of these picks will be longer shots to win. I like to bet a little to win a lot with props. If you bet 100 dollars a game, go with 10 or 20 bucks a prop.

Let’s go.[[ad:athena]]

$30 Kirk Cousins Under 227.5 passing yards (-115)

This is a bet on the Bears Defense more than anything else. They’re a top five unit against the pass this season and Kirk Cousins has been abysmal against Chicago since making the move to Minnesota. The Vikings are averaging just 12 points per game in three losses over that stretch and Cousins has really struggled to move the chains. Every game is different, but I don’t care much for him throwing the rock in 30 degree weather with howling winds at Soldier Field. If Minnesota wins on Monday night, it’ll be because of Dalvin Cook, not because of Cousins.

$10 Ravens throw more interceptions than Patriots (+255)

Something is really weird about this point spread. How have the Ravens held steady as 7-point favorites all week with endless cash and tickets on that side? One Vegas bookmaker told me that 90 percent of the bets at his shop are on Baltimore. But the line isn’t budging! Even though the Patriots aren’t what they used to be, there’s still something to be said about Bill Belichick preparing a game plan. Maybe he’ll be able to confuse Lamar Jackson and maybe the defensive backs will jump some routes. I’ll roll the dice at this price.

$10 Russell Wilson anytime scorer (+300)

Bookmakers have this point total in the mid-50s, so there will definitely be some points scored. Wilson is always a threat with his legs and he’s one of the most dangerous players in the world when the original call backfires and he’s forced to create. Plus, Jalen Ramsey will be shadowing DK Metcalf all over the field, which could set up some great opportunities for Wilson to take off. Ramsey and Aaron Donald are tremendous talents, but their abilities can actually help Wilson’s rushing attempts in a weird, roundabout way. I’ll take 3-to-1 on Russ to shake and bake across the goal line.
