Welcome to the Sunday Prop Shop.
Every Saturday, we’ll dive inside the thousands of NFL props from our friends over at PointsBet Sportsbook. Please scale back your bet size on props, because a lot of these picks will be longer shots to win. I like to bet a little to win a lot with props. If you bet 100 dollars a game, go with 10 or 20 bucks a prop.
Let’s go.[[ad:athena]]
$20 Ryan Fitzpatrick Over 282.5 passing yards (-115)
I’m all over the Dolphins this weekend. Miami +6.5 is one of my Best Bets and I happen to love this Fitzmagic prop even more now that Seattle safety Jamal Adams is out. The Seahawks are the worst defense in the league in yards allowed (497 per game) and you would think the Dolphins passing attack gets even stronger with Adams off the field. This one should be a shootout with the total set at 54. Even if Seattle starts to open up a big lead and I lose my bet, the Dolphins will have to air it out in garbage time.
$15 Ravens -21 points (+182)
This is a big time smelling salt moment for Baltimore. After getting beat down Monday night by Patrick Mahomes, the Ravens are going to be foaming at the mouth and ready take their frustration out on a really bad football team. Even though they struggled against the best player in the universe, their defense is still very, very good. And the task will be much easier against a quarterback like Dwayne Haskins. Baltimore is built to play from ahead, when they can run the ball and set up play action and option looks for Lamar Jackson. If the Ravens go up 14-0, this one could be 35-10 before you know it.
$15 Derek Carr more passing yards than Josh Allen (-115)
Vegas could be a sleeping giant this week. Most bettors are going to look at Buffalo as an undefeated short road favorite and blast them like they know the outcome. The sexiness has been removed from the Raiders after one bad game at New England and I don’t understand the overreaction. Carr should have a much easier game against a Bills Defense that let Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jared Goff light them up through the air. And isn’t it strange that Allen and Carr are both -115 in this head-to-head prop even though Allen has three 300+ passing yard games and Carr has none? Something is up.
