Welcome to the Sunday Prop Shop.
Every weekend, we’ll dive inside the thousands of NFL props from our friends over at PointsBet Sportsbook. Please scale back your bet size on props, because a lot of these picks will be longer shots to win. I like to bet a little to win a lot with props. If you bet 100 dollars a game, go with 10 or 20 bucks a prop.
Let’s go.[[ad:athena]]
$20 Stefon Diggs Over 70.5 receiving yards (-115)
Believe it or not, the Seattle Seahawks are the worst statistical passing defense in the entire league. Ken Norton’s unit is giving up an alarming 359 yards through the air per game. Some of that is by design because the Seahawks play faster this year and they’ve been ahead in many games. But the days of the Legion of Boom are long gone and Seattle is definitely beatable down the field. Diggs is a home run threat that only needs a couple grabs to get over this total. I expect this number to rise as we get closer to kickoff.
$20 Stefon Diggs scores a touchdown (+145)
Double down, baby. Why not? I feel like I’ve got 7-4 at the Blackjack table with the dealer showing a 5. And I’m feeling lucky. Diggs hasn’t scored a touchdown in a couple weeks, so the plus price is a little juicier than it’s been in weeks past. PointsBet has the Seattle-Buffalo set at 55 points, so they’re expecting a ton of touchdowns. I’ll roll the dice with Diggs and root for him to catch a 45-yard touchdown on a fly route to cash both props.
$10 Bears or Titans to score a defensive touchdown (+280)
Anything is possible with this Chicago defense and anything is possible with Nick Foles at quarterback. Chicago’s pass rush puts a lot of pressure on opposing quarterbacks and with a player like Khalil Mack, there’s always the potential for a Herculean strip sack touchdown. Eddie Jackson is one of the best center fielders in the game and he’s no stranger to a defensive touchdown either. Then there’s Foles, who has thrown an interception in every game this year. He makes multiple throws a game that make Bears fans want to throw their televisions out the window. Let’s go defense!
