The Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) on short rest and traveling across the country take the field Sunday in our nation’s capital against the more rested but more banged up Washington Commanders (1-1).
Since last week’s loss on Thursday night to the Packers, Washington has revealed their quarterback is a candidate to miss at least this week’s game. Last season’s Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate Jayden Daniels is “day-to-day” with a knee injury according to Head Coach Dan Quinn. Should the signal-caller be deemed unavailable for Sunday’s game, Marcus Mariota will step under center.
Its a quick turnaround for the Raiders following Monday night’s loss to the Chargers. Pete Carroll’s crew never led and was generally not good in the 20-9 loss to Los Angeles. Geno Smith was the leader of the “not good” team throwing three picks while completing just 24 of 43 passes for 180yds. Vegas totaled a mere 218 yards on the night.
