Ravens vs Jaguars Odds, expert picks, team and player news, betting trends, and stats

The Baltimore Ravens (4-4) are in trouble, and they don’t have much time to look for solutions as the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2) roll into town off a dominant performance ahead of Thursday Night Football. The Jaguars beat the brakes off the Colts, 42-7, while the Ravens have now lost three straight games and are down to their fourth-string quarterback.

Lamar Jackson made his return against Buffalo, but injured his thumb on Baltimore’s first play of the game, exited, and now needs surgery. Tyler Huntley came in, but that didn’t last long as he was hurt on Baltimore’s first drive of the second quarter. Joe Fagano entered, and he went 10-of-21 for 91 yards, an interception, and took three sacks. Fagano has a lower body injury and isn’t 100 percent, and with Huntley questionable with a toe injury, and with Skylar Thompson on IR, the Ravens are left razor thin at quarterback. Having three days in between games doesn’t offer much confidence going against this Jaguars defense.

Jacksonville grabbed a fumble, two interceptions, and held the Colts to 243 total yards of offense. The Colts had 14 drives and averaged a measly 4.0 yards per play compared to the Jaguars’ 6.9. Indianapolis went 3-of-11 on third downs and held Daniel Jones to 144 passing yards. On the other side, Trevor Lawrence extended his heater with three passing touchdowns and 210 yards on 10-of-14. Lawrence has seven touchdowns and 516 passing yards in the last two games, while Bhayshul Tuten has gained steam. Tuten recorded his first 100-yard rushing game of the season (104) and posted a season-high 159 total yards and two touchdowns.

Baltimore could be relying on their star running back, Derrick Henry, as the pass game is in trouble. Rashod Bateman led Baltimore in receiving yards with 22, and Zay Flowers had zero catches. Henry led the team in yards with 53 and scored the lone touchdown on 13 total touches. Baltimore’s defense did earn two turnovers in the 36-10 loss to Buffalo, but there’s only so much the Ravens defense will be able to do if Jacksonville dominates the time-of-possession battle like Buffalo did (37:36-22:24).

Let’s dive into the numbers and see if we can’t find an additional sweat or two.

Expert picks & predictions for Jaguars vs Ravens

Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) likes the Jaguars to cover:

“The Jaguars’ defense is rolling right now and has another soft matchup with the Ravens. As of Monday morning, Lamar Jackson will be getting thumb surgery, Tyler Huntley is questionable with a toe injury, Skylar Thompson is on IR, and Joe Fagano isn’t 100 percent. Still, it may be the only option after making an appearance against Buffalo. The Jaguars defense has held six of seven opponents to 20 or fewer, and in the five wins, opponents averaged 11.4 points per game. Getting past 14 should be a challenge for Baltimore. If Trevor Lawrence and the Jags don’t turn the ball over too much, Jacksonville should cover the -8.5. Jacksonville is an NFL-best 10-4 ATS as a favorite since 2025 and 16-9 ATS overall, ranking third-best. Pretty darn good.”

Quarterback matchup for Ravens vs Jaguars

· Baltimore: Joe Fagano – Joe Fagano was thrown into the fire against Buffalo on Sunday, and it didn’t go well. Fagano went 10-of-21 (47.6%) for 91 yards, plus an interception and three sacks in the 36-10 loss. With Lamar Jackson returning versus Buffalo and Tyler Huntley active, Fagano probably thought he would never see the field, but nontheless, he did, and all four of the Ravens’ quarterbacks are hurt or out. If Fagano is the starter, he will face a Jaguars defense that held the Colts to 242 yards of offense and only two red zone trips. Jacksonville grabbed two interceptions, a fumble, and ranked seventh across the NFL entering last week in points per drive allowed (1.1). Whether it’s Fagano, Huntley, or someone off free agency, Baltimore may be screwed on a short week.

· Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence – Trevor Lawrence is on fire in the last two games! Lawrence has thrown seven touchdown passes and completed 34-of-55 passes (61.8%) for 516 yards and one interception. The Jaguars offense has scored 73 points in those two games and averaged 6.1 and 6.9 yards per play. Lawrence and this offense are rolling. He hasn’t even had to use his legs much, posting four or fewer carries in all seven games. The Ravens’ defense runs zone coverage 78.6% of the time this season, ranking eighth-most, and that’s bad news for Baltimore. Lawrence has the No. 1 passer rating versus zone (111.4), the 11th-best completion percentage (71%0, and eighth in catchable ball rate (77.4%). He’s done his best work against zone coverage and, thanks to the fourth-best protection rate and eighth-best supporting cast, per PlayerProfiler, Lawrence may be off to setting career-highs across the board.
