Billy Cundiff and Dave Rayner will battle to handle PKs for the Packers this year.
Neither are worth fantasy consideration kicking in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Billy Cundiff outkicked Dave Rayner at practice Monday.
Cundiff’s kickoffs were deeper than Rayner’s, not a good sign for the latter. Rayner was originally drafted by the Colts as a kickoff specialist.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Packers released kicker Billy Cundiff on Thursday.
That means Dave Rayner will likely begin the season as Green Bay’s starting kicker.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Ravens K Billy Cundiff will face competition from undrafted rookie Justin Tucker in training camp.
The Ravens signed Tucker as a priority UDFA, and will hold onto him into August. The big-legged youngster hit a 55-yarder at rookie camp after banging home 40-of-48 field goal tries (83.3 percent) during his final two years as Texas. Cundiff went 28-for-37 (75.7) in 2011, not including a backbreaking playoff miss.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed K Billy Cundiff is likely to face competition in camp.
However, Harbaugh said he anticipated Cundiff being the Ravens’ Week 1 kicker. Cundiff is an asset on kickoffs, but converted just 28-of-37 field-goal attempts last season before shanking a kick that would have sent the AFC Championship Game to overtime.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Shayne Graham will handle kicking duties for Billy Cundiff (calf) in Week 16.
“Even if Billy was ready to go, which I still think he’s nursing that thing back, he’s still not 100 percent, Shayne got the week of practice,” explained Harbaugh. The Browns allow the 12th-most fantasy points to opposing kickers.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Coach John Harbaugh blamed the weather for Billy Cundiff’s two missed field goals against the Browns.
The wind was howling in Cleveland, making even short kicks dicey propositions. It’s a reminder to target kickers playing in domes or plus weather over the final four weeks of the season. The Ravens host the Colts this week before traveling to San Diego in Week 15.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Ravens K Billy Cundiff (calf) admitted he was at less than 100 percent in Sunday’s win over the Colts.
Cundiff made his only field-goal attempt, a 36-yarder, and all three of his extra points. But he didn’t handle kickoff duties in the second half in an effort to protect his sore calf. There are safer kicking options out there right now.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Billy Cundiff (calf) expects to kick against the Bengals in Week 17.
Filling in for Cundiff, Shayne Graham connected on field goals of 48 and 43 yards and made two extra points. The Ravens have not yet named which kicker will be used in the postseason. Cundiff has missed three of his last five kicks and struggled from 50-plus yards out, but currently ranks fifth in the NFL with 42 touchbacks.
  • FA Kicker (FG)
Coach John Harbaugh suggested Billy Cundiff (calf) may not kick in Week 16 after missing another field goal Sunday night.
Asked about Cundiff’s calf leading to missed kicks, Harbaugh replied, “We’re going to have to look at that really hard this week and try to make a good decision.” Cundiff has been a top-10 fantasy kicker in many leagues this season, but he’s not worth the risk at this point.
