Carter Capps gave up a pair of homers Tuesday against the Pirates and has now allowed 10 runs in his last four appearances.
It’s taken his ERA from 3.54 to 5.97, and he’s now in serious danger of being sent down. Capps was supposed to emerge as the No. 2 man in Seattle’s pen this year, and with 40 strikeouts in 31 2/3 innings, he’s still showing that kind of potential. He’s a mess right now, though.
