Steelers signed USC CB Chris Steele.

Steele (6’0/187) was a four-star, highly recruited corner that failed to live up to expectations during his time in L.A. Coming off a solid 2021, Steele does have the size and frame you want in a corner, but the skills never really translated in the PAC-12. He’s great off the press, plays with physicality, and can cover in short bursts, but the endurance isn’t there and it shows with his 4.48 40-time at only 187 pounds. While he does have great instincts and the ability to create turnovers, he gets burned on longer plays. Steele has played in different spots, including nickel and strong safety.
