Verdell

Verdell (5'8/202) topped 1,300 yards from scrimmage each of his first two seasons at Oregon, rumbling for a 197-1,220-8 line on the ground as a sophomore. An injury slowed him down in a COVID-shortened 2020, however, and he suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle five games into his senior season. Verdell was healthy enough to participate in his Pro Day, running a 4.65 40 with a 31-inch vertical and 9-foot-9 broad jump. Perhaps his injury played a role in those testing numbers -- he looked like a better athlete in his most productive years -- but he never was a powerful or particularly elusive runner. He carries some upside if he can rediscover his 2019 form, but Verdell is looking at a narrow path to fantasy relevance.
