Undrafted rookie CB/PR Cliff Harris has reportedly been the “darling of camp so far” for the Eagles.
It’s obviously early, but Harris has been included among early 53-man roster projections by Eagles beat writers. Coach Andy Reid also talked him up a bit. A dynamite college corner and return specialist, Harris fell out of April’s draft due to off-field issues. He could be a steal if his head is on straight.

Eagles special teams coach Bobby April confirmed that DeSean Jackson will not be the primary punt returner this season.
“DeSean will return some,” said April, “but we want to use him offensively as a weapon. There’s some wear and tear on a guy his size ... We’ve got a lot invested in keeping his legs replenished.” Rookies Brandon Boykin, Damaris Johnson and Cliff Harris are the top candidates to take over for Jackson. April is especially high on undrafted former Oregon star Harris, whom he considers a “phenomenal punt returner ... very much like DeSean.”

    Eagles waived CB Cliff Harris.
A camp darling, Harris was simply buried at the cornerback position and was no longer in the race for return duties. If he clears waivers, the former Oregon standout will be a practice squad candidate.

Free agent CB Cliff Harris has been found guilty of harassment.
He was sentenced to 18 months bench probation, 100 hours of community service, alcohol treatment, and anger-management treatment. This stems from a May incident outside of a Buffalo Wild Wings when Harris ended up in handcuffs after a fight with his girlfriend. His NFL career is over before it ever started.

Free agent CB Cliff Harris was arrested for domestic harassment on Friday.
The arrest came just four days after Harris was busted for possession of marijuana. The former Oregon Duck is accused of shoving his girlfriend in a Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot. An off-the-field nightmare throughout both his college days and pro “career,” Harris has taken himself off the NFL radar.

Free agents CB Cliff Harris and DE Claude Davis were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Monday.
They were in possession of less than 50 grams and were released without bail. Both players were cut by the Jets on Tuesday, and this explains why. Harris was a talented corner and return man while at Oregon, but he went undrafted in 2012 due to off-the-field concerns. He obviously hasn’t learned anything.

Free agent CB Cliff Harris was arrested for the third time in nine days Tuesday, this time for failure to appear in court.
Harris missed a court appearance on domestic harassment charges after he was pulled over for speeding and passing in a no-passing zone and it was discovered he didn’t have a driver’s license. Harris was first arrested on marijuana charges. His NFL future is kaput.
