Rams signed Arizona State C Cohl Cabral.
Cabral was a three-year starter for the Sun Devils, and the 6-foot-3, 305-pound center also saw time at left tackle for Arizona State. He’ll likely be asked to play center with the Rams, but the fact he’s played other positions could help him in his uphill battle to make the roster. Dane Brugler of The Athletic writes that Cabral has that he “displays the toughness, smarts and competitive mentality to be a quality backup with position flexibility.”

  • Arizona State senior C Cohl Cabral accepted an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Cabral (6'3/305) is a three-year starter, but not all of those were at center. During his first year as a starter in 2017, Cabral was playing left tackle for the Sun Devils. Cabral then switched to center, where he would play for the next two seasons. Cabral is considered one of the top senior centers in this class and may end up as a Day 3 pick.
  • Arizona State signed four-star C Cohl Cabral.
Cabral hails from Rancho Cucamonga, California, and drew the most interest from the likes of Arizona, Boise State and Cal. ESPN 300 ranks the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder as their 199th prospect for the 2016 recruiting cycle, noting that he “ultimately could offer valuable versatility/depth to an O-Line unit.” While they’re keen on his versatility, they see him sticking at center with the Sun Devils. Cabral, they believe, “can deliver a good initial pop and flashes good inline strength to generate movement when he stays low and gets positioning, but needs to more consistently roll hips and maintain a good base.”
