Packers placed WR Christian Watson (knee) on the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
Watson must now sit out at least four games before he is eligible to return. The field-stretching wide receiver is rehabbing from a torn ACL from suffered last year. The Packers also placed DL Collin Oliver and G John Williams on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, and S Omar Brown was placed on injured reserve.
  • GB Linebacker
Packers selected Oklahoma State LB Collin Oliver with the No. 159 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
One of the most explosive defenders in Stillwater since the arrival of HC Mike Gundy, Oliver (6’1/240) enters the draft with a 9.74 RAS and the tape to match. Bursting onto the scene as a true freshman with 11.5 sacks in 2021, Oliver racked up 40.5 TFLs and 23.5 sacks across his career, blending twitchy acceleration (1.57 10-yard split) with bend and chase-down effort. While he transitioned from EDGE to off-ball LB in 2023, his comfort zone remains screaming off the edge. Oklahoma State’s 3-3-5 gave him hybrid reps, but his instincts in space still need seasoning. Undersized with 30.75” arms, Oliver can get swallowed in the wash and needs a defined role. His 90.8 PFF pass rush grade backs up the eye test—when he’s turned loose, he’s a headache. He’ll thrive as a nickel rusher early, with developmental upside as a rotational WILL linebacker.
  • GB Defensive Lineman #45
Oklahoma State received a verbal commitment from four-star 2021 LB Collin Oliver.
Oliver had released a top eight that included Arkansas, Iowa State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas Tech and Utah. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is a local get for the Cowboys, as he currently plays at Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. The recruiting experts at 247Sports rank Oliver as the fourth best player in the Sooner State, and the 15th best inside linebacker. He’s the fifth known commit for Oklahoma State in 2021, and the first that gets the four-star designation from 247Sports.

  • GB Defensive Lineman #45
Uncommitted four-star 2021 LB Collin Oliver released a top-eight list consisting of Arkansas, Iowa State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, and Utah.
Oliver (6'2/220) managed a few unofficial visits -- to Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech -- before the NCAA enforced a spring dead period (now ongoing through late May) to protect against the spread of the coronavirus. A track-and-field athlete in addition to a football player, the Edmond, Oklahoma, native slots onto the 247Sports composite board as the No. 367 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
