Mississippi State redshirt sophomore WR Geor’quarius Spivey entered the transfer portal.
Spivey (6'5/240) was a three-star recruit who was rated as the 22nd best tight end from the 2018 prep cycle. He shifted to wide receiver while seeing only five targets in his first two seasons on campus. Last year he played in 10 games, starting three of his last six while catching 11-of-16 targets for 121 yards and two drops. He caught a touchdown in MSU’s Maroon and White spring game, but apparently was not content with his place on the depth chart.
