Ja’Lynn Polk caught 1-of-1 targets for two yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ Week 10 win over the Bears.
Polk was only targeted once in the Pats’ win over the Bears. Luckily for fantasy managers, it was a two-yard touchdown in the first half. Polk was benched in Week 9 and has seen decreased usage in favor of DeMario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte, but the Pats’ pass-catching rotations are constantly changing. Polk is a dynasty hold, but isn’t on the redraft radar for now.

Ja’Lynn Polk played just nine snaps for the Patriots in their Week 9 loss to the Titans.
He was benched yesterday as Kendrick Bourne took over as New England’s secondary outside receiver. On the other hand, he was the intended target on Maye’s first interception and was penalized twice in those nine snaps. So uh, things aren’t going well for the rookie wideout. If you’re holding him in a dynasty, he is a dynasty hold on draft value alone at this point.
  • NE Wide Receiver #2
Patriots declared WR K.J. Osborn, WR Tyquan Thornton, QB Joe Milton, S Kyle Duggar, and DT Eric Johnson inactive for Week 10 against the Titans.
Both Osborn and Thornton are healthy scratches and are rumored to be trade candidates ahead of Tuesday’s deadline. That should mean more snaps/potential targets for Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker, but the New England passing game is one to avoid right now.

Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 9 against the Titans.
Polk is unfortunately off of the fantasy radar, given his cardio-heavy role. Fantasy managers can stash him if they please but he has shown no real re-draft viability to this point.

Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Polk will likely be cleared for a Week 9 return before the weekend, meaning we can expect him to play on Sunday against the Titans. The rookie receiver has caught just 10 passes for 78 yards and one touchdown this season and shouldn’t be counted on by fantasy managers even if he is active.
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Polk returned to practice but he is not guaranteed to return to fantasy relevance. The talented rookie has been a total nonfactor thus far and cannot be trusted in lineups even if he were to suit up in Week 9.

Patriots declared WR Ja’Lynn Polk, QB Joe Milton, S Kyle Dugger, LB Joshua Uche, OL Layden Robinson, and DT Daniel Ekuale inactive for New England’s Week 8 game against the Jets.
Polk was ruled out on Friday with a concussion and this should give a bigger runway for Kendrick Bourne to be part of the offense against New York. Dugger was a game-time decision with an ankle injury but DNPs off a questionable status. Uche is a healthy scratch ahead of the NFL trade deadline, and Milton is the only other Patriot joining him on the shelf without an injury.

Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
This is yet another negative development in Polk’s rookie season. The rookie has finished inside the position’s top 60 in weekly scoring just once this season and only needs to be considered as a stash for winning teams with ample bench space.

Ja’Lynn Polk (head) is questionable to return in Week 7 against the Jaguars.
Polk left late in the fourth quarter and isn’t likely to return in the waning moments of a likely loss. He failed to catch any of his three targets. Polk opened the game with a drop on New England’s open drive and would another later in the game. He also slipped while being targeted on a two-point conversion try. Patriots coach Jerod Mayo said earlier this week that Polk “needs to get over this mental hump.” He backtracked even further today and may need some time on the bench to recalibrate.
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
Patriots coach Jerod Mayo said rookie wideout Ja’Lynn Polk “needs to get over this mental hump. You got to eliminate the dropped passes and be better blocking.”
He also mentioned that Kendrick Bourne is who stood out to him when he “look[s] at the film.” Bourne played 34 snaps in his second game back from injured reserve and could eat into Polk’s role after Polk has caught just five of 17 targets over the last three weeks. The team has an obligation to get the players that can make Drake Maye look the best, and thus far that has not been Polk.
