  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints selected Pittsburgh WR Bub Means with the No. overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Means (6’1/212) bounced around between Tennessee and Louisiana Tech before finally settling in at Pittsburgh in 2022 and 2023. In his first season with the Panthers, Means totaled 398 yards and two touchdowns on 45 targets but emerged to go for 41-718-6 on 82 targets in his final season. Means is a high-volume deep threat, who saw 39.8 percent of his targets come on deep passes – the third-highest rate amongst receiver prospects over the last three drafts. Still, the production has been mostly average for Means, who may not amount to much more than a deep threat at the end of the New Orleans roster.
  • NO Wide Receiver #16
Former Tennessee sophomore WR Jerrod Means transferred to Louisiana Tech in March.
Means (6'2/214) entered the transfer portal at the beginning of December. The former three-star recruit appeared in five games last season, with Tennessee trying him at both wide receiver and cornerback. He did not record any statistics in that space. Look for Means to play receiver with the Bulldogs -- just probably not this coming season. Barring an NCAA eligibility waiver, Means will have to sit out the 2020 campaign.

  • NO Wide Receiver #16
Tennessee freshman WR Jerrod Means has entered his name into the transfer portal.
Means (6'2/214) arrived on campus as a wide receiver, but during fall camp he spent some time at corner before being moved back to the offensive side of the football. The freshman appeared in five games, thus removing the possibility of a redshirt unfortunately, but did not accrue any statistics. Means will have three seasons of eligibility remaining at his next stop, and he’ll likely have to sit out the 2020 season if he moves on to another FBS program.
