One of our nation’s military academies may have already won the award for “most bad-ass helmet of 2016" and the new season hasn’t even kicked off yet.
Sunday, Air Force unveiled special-edition helmets the academy will wear for their Sept. 10 game against Georgia State. The helmets the Falcons will don are described as “AIRPOWER Legacy Series Sharktooth,” and are a nod to the United State’s airplanes in World War II that sported the shark teeth art on the nose of the aircraft. Are you ready?! Yep. Bad. Ass. Well done, Air Force.
And, if helmet designs are part of the criteria for inclusion in the Big 12, Air Force is a lock for membership.
