Arkansas will be down one linebacker as they move forward into the 2011 season as SEC West contenders.
Matt Jones of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette writes today that freshman linebacker Brock Haman suffered a foot injury earlier this preseason camp and will have to undergo season-ending surgery.
“Unfortunately had a foot injury, had surgery,” coach Bobby Petrino said. “He’ll come back in spring and have an opportunity to start.
“He’s got to learn how to stay healthy.”
Haman was a three-star athlete out of Arizona who was coming off an injury-riddled senior year of high school.
