After a relatively quiet last week and a half or so on the arrest front, business has picked up Friday.
Earlier today, it was reported that Oklahoma State football player Tyreek Hill was arrested on a felony complaint following a domestic dispute. A few hours late, a report has surfaced that a Bowling Green football player is facing his own legal issue.
According to the Toledo Blade, defensive lineman Jhalil Croley was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and resisting arrest. Because of the arrest, Croley has been indefinitely suspended.
The school also confirmed that Croley will not play in BGSU’s Camellia Bowl matchup with South Alabama Dec. 20.
As for what led to the redshirt sophomore’s arrest and subsequent suspension...According to the police report, police were called to Croley’s off-campus apartment in response to a loud music complaint. At the door, officers detected an odor of marijuana and asked to enter. Once inside, police found marijuana packaged for sale as well as scales and other paraphernalia.
When officers attempted to arrest Croley, he refused to be handcuffed, resulting in the resisting arrest charge.Croley is a backup defensive lineman who has played in 12 of 13 games for the MAC East champion Falcons. He started one of those contests.
