Based on his strong performance in Wisconsin’s double-overtime win over Fresno State, John Clay has been tapped as the Badgers’ starting running back, head coach Bret Bielema announced this morning.
Clay rushed for 143 yards on 21 carries, including a 72-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
The sophomore will replace junior Zach Brown in the starting lineup.
