As Clemson looks to keep itself in position this weekend to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff, the Tigers will likely do so with a couple of key components on both sides of the ball available.
On the team’s weekly injury report, the Tigers confirmed that safety Jadar Johnson will play in Saturday’s game against Syracuse. Additionally, wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud is listed as probable for the conference game.
Earlier in the week, Johnson had been listed as questionable for the Orange game because of a calf injury. McCloud, meanwhile, is working his way through an ankle injury.
Johnson has started all eight games this season after playing a total of 10 snaps the past three years. He leads the Tigers in interceptions with four.
McCloud is second on the team in receptions with 34, and is third in yards with 352. He’s also the team’s top punt returner, averaging 12.6 yards per return. That number is tied for 18th nationally and fifth amongst ACC returners.
