According to a report in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts (no relation) suffered a concussion during the Red Raiders’ win over New Mexico.
Potts suffered the injury on a sack late in the second quarter and did not return.
The QB was taken to a local hospital for further examination and, according to the Avalanche Journal, had not been discharged as of very late last night.
After Potts went down, the Red Raiders’ offense barely skipped a beat with backup Steven Sheffield at the controls. In a little over a half of play, Sheffield threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns in the Red Raiders’ 48-28 win over the Lobos.
