Ex-Bruin signee Shaq Richardson heading to Arizona

In the three weeks since being released from his UCLA Letter of Intent, Shaq Richardson has been rumored to be heading to Arizona to start his collegiate football career.

This evening comes a report that’s indeed the case.

Ryan Finley of the Arizona Daily Star is reporting via Twitter that Richardson has officially been added to the Wildcats.

The move actually occurred last week, but Richardson decided to keep it quiet.

Richardson was one of three Bruins recruits arrested for felony theft after the trio allegedly lifted a woman’s purse. Four days after the arrest, all three were dismissed from UCLA, with head coach Rick Neuheisel leaving the door open for a return to the program this January.

Richardson becomes the third of the three to find a new home; linebacker Josh Shirley is now at Washington, while wide receiver Paul Richardson, Shaq’s cousin, appears to be headed to Colorado.
