As was originally thought back on Feb. 26, Iowa receiver Marvin McNutt will miss all of spring practice as he recovers from shoulder surgery.
Kirk Ferentz did mention that he expected -- and as expected -- that McNutt would be back and ready to go by June to participate in summer workouts and preseason practice.
Ferentz also mentioned that linebacker Shane DiBona, safety Tanner Miller and defensive lineman Steve Bigach will be held out of spring practice because of injuries.
McNutt had 53 receptions for 861 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns last season and is expected to be the Hawkeyes’ go-to man this fall.
