Florida safety Hill jumping to the NFL

You can add another underclassman to that NFL-declarations post, JT.

Junior Florida safety Will Hill has decided to forgo his senior year in Gainesville and announced that he will enter the NFL Draft.

Actually, technically, it was Hill’s father who made the announcement.

He’s going to make that jump,” Will Hill Sr. told GatorSports.com. “He’s excited and we’re excited for him.”

Unless you’ve lived under a proverbial rock, you’ve probably caught wind that one former Texas defensive coordinator, Will Muschamp, is now the head coach at Florida and, as is often the case when there’s coaching turnover, it’s entirely possible Hill left on account of the new sheriff in The Swamp.

Or, maybe he didn’t.

“Maybe it did [the coaching change] (have an impact), maybe it didn’t,” Hill Sr. said. “Everything happens for a reason. There were a number of things involved.”

On the season, Hill had 54 tackles and 2 interceptions. Both picks came in Florida’s 34-31 victory over Georgia.
