You know about Catholics vs. Convicts -- the nickname for the old Notre Dame-Miami rivalry -- but do you know about Catholics vs. Cousins?
You know, inbreeding. Get it? If not, current Carolina Panthers and former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen would like you to be aware because someone notice him please and maybe start him somewhere in the NFL. So he tweeted a picture of a shirt with “Catholics vs. Cousins” printed on the front, which have apparently been on the market for a couple of weeks now, in preparation of the Jan. 7 BCS championship between Notre Dame and Alabama. That tweet has since been removed, clearly out of personal safety concerns.
Of course, if you’re an Alabama fan, the only retort necessary is pointing out that Jimmy Clausen is, in fact, Jimmy Clausen.
