Kyler Murray signs NLI as A&M awaits fax-ual proof

Aggie Nation -- and Kevin Sumlin‘s coaching staff -- can officially breathe a huge sigh of relief. Probably

After a week or so of uncertainty involving bitter in-state rival Texas, long-time Texas A&M verbal commitment Kyler Murray reaffirmed his commitment to the Aggies in a tweet late last month. That reaffirmation came shortly after an in-home visit from Sumlin & Company, although the stick-and-ball worry remains.

Late Wednesday morning, the touted quarterback signed his National Letter of Intent. It should be noted, though, that, per ESPNU, A&M has yet to receive it, so maybe Aggie fans might want to continue holding its collective breath. Just in case.

Murray is a four-star member of A&M’s 2015 recruiting class, rated as the No. 5 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 9 player at any position in the state of Texas by Rivals.com. He and another touted state of Texas recruit, wide receiver DaMarkus Lodge, created waves last month by paying an unexpected visit to the University of Texas.

Lodge, as expected, ended up signing with Ole Miss a short time ago.

UPDATED 1:01 p.m. ET: Now A&M can officially officially breathe a sigh of relief.
