Penn State Police were called to the football locker room this afternoon to investigate a report of a fight between two members of the Nittany Lions football team -- Matt McGloin and Curtis Drake -- after they finished practice.
McGloin was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center where he was examined, treated and released.
Campus police and Penn State’s Office of Judicial Affairs will investigate the incident and report results as they would for any other student involved in an incident on campus.

While the details are still sketchy, there was reportedly a physical altercation Saturday in the Penn State locker room involving a Nittany Lions quarterback and an offensive teammate that rendered the former laid out at the hands -- or fists -- of the latter.
According to Ben Jones of StateCollege.com, he can confirm via Twitter “that Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin was knocked out after practice today during a fight.” The fight reportedly involved wide receiver Curtis Drake, and was something that stemmed from an incident that went down during practice and carried over into the locker room.
A police report has been filed, and the players were called in for a 4:30 ET team meeting. Per a tweet from Jones, “Drake shows up with pack of players [for team meeting]. Left hand in coat pocket.”
CFT has been told by a PSU official that a statement from the school regarding the incident may -- stressing the word “may” -- be released at some point this evening.
UPDATED 5:42 p.m. ET: a University Police spokesperson said that they are investigating the incident and could release a statement at some point this evening/tonight.
McGloin’s father told Ron Mussleman of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that “his son suffered [a] seizure today and has [a] possible concussion.” McGloin’s currently at his residence after being taken to the hospital.
McGloin’s Twitter feed also contains some choice adult language as to what may or may not have transpired earlier today. We’re guessing said Twitter feed will either be deleted at some point today or was “a victim of hacking” if said feed continues its current tack.
