Coach Mario Cristobal and the University of Miami have received a commitment from one of the elite players in the nation. 2023 All-American Samson Okunlola from Thayer Academy in Massachusetts has verbally committed to the Hurricanes. According to 247Sports, Okunlola is a five-star prospect and the No. 1 player in Massachusetts.

Past Hurricanes selected to play in the All-American Bowl includes the likes of Greg Olsen, Leonard Taylor, and James Williams.
Only 100 football players receive the honor of putting on the All-American Bowl jersey each year. Each player selected to participate will culminate their high school careers at the All-American Bowl.
