Mizzou gives the boot to backup LB Tyler Crane

Tyler Crane played in 22 games during his three years as a member of the Missouri football program. Unfortunately for Crane, that will be his final tally, at least with the Tigers.

According to the Columbia Daily Tribune, Crane was dismissed from the program for undisclosed disciplinary reasons. A spokesperson told the paper that the dismissal is unrelated to any legal wrongdoing on the part of the junior linebacker.

Crane appeared in 11 games in both the 2007 and 2009 seasons, with a redshirt year sandwiched in between as he made the transition from defensive end to linebacker.

As noted by the Daily Tribune, Crane spent most of his time on special teams when he did see the field.
