N.C. State, Mississippi State schedule home-and-home series

Per ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, N.C. State and Mississippi State have agreed on a two-game home-and-home series to be played in 2020 and 2021. The 2020 game will be played at N.C. State, and Mississippi State will host the 2021 game.

N.C. State last played an SEC team in 2012, losing to Tennessee 35-21 in Atlanta to open that season. As of right now, the Wolfpack don’t have much of their future non-conference schedules built out besides a 2016 home game against Notre Dame and a home-and-home with East Carolina in 2016 and 2019.

Mississippi State has a home-and-home scheduled with Arizona in 2022 and 2023, as well as a two-for-one series with Louisiana Tech from 2015-2017.

N.C. State and Mississippi State have squared off five times, with the Wolfpack holding a 3-2 advantage in the series. The last time the two teams met was in the 1994 Peach Bowl, which N.C. State won 28-24.
