The Little Sisters of the Poor Bowl is official.
Although, with TCU now in the Big 12 instead of the Mountain West, there’s probably a more appropriate name for the newly-announced home-and-home between the Horned Frogs and Ohio State, but we’re just going to stick with the aforementioned title.
The two schools released the announcement Tuesday. The Buckeyes will travel to Fort Worth in 2018, with TCU visiting Columbus the following year.
“Competing against programs from the state of Texas has always offered exciting experiences for our players and fans,” Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said. “TCU continues to be one of the top football programs in the country.”
Just last week, Smith told the Associated Press he was looking to schedule tougher out-of-conference games to position OSU better if the team is in contention for a playoff appearance.
The two schools have played six times over their history, all at Ohio Stadium. The last meeting between the two was in 1973 and the Buckeyes hold a 4-1-1 edge in the series.
